http://www.ssa.gov/OACT/babynames/

This is the Social Security Administration website. It gives statistical information for baby names given the social security number registrations. (I think you can research back to 1879 for baby names.) The most recent posting, however, is for 2004. They don't have the 2005 data up yet.

What is the name of the most popular productivity software program?

Doesn't it really depend on what you're trying to do?

I mean, for instance, if you're trying to design a web page, Microsoft Excel won't help one bit, even though it might be popular.

Or, if you need to write a program in Visual Studio, then even though (for instance) Norton might possibly be the most popular, it's not at all productive for YOUR situation.

Ya need to be a little more specific (*GRIN*)

What is the world's most popular first name?

i have to agree, mohammad has got to be number 1 for the boys. im not sure about the girls. there aren't many prominent women in islam or confusianism (the 2 most popular and followed religions in the world) and since most names within a culture derive from that culture's "sacred scripture", its a bit hard to think of a name. beats me.

What is the world's most popular first name?
Someone said sometime it was Mohammed, but I don't have a source to prove it. I would also bet on a very popular chinese name, maybe the chinese equivalent to John or something.
Reply:Boy: Michael

Girl: Ashely

Reply:Martin.

Same spelling exists in English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Dutch. So, it is a common name for people speaking any of these languages, it must be popular.
Reply:Guys: Mohammed or one of the other variant, I would expect.

Girls: Mary, or variant.
Reply:Boy: Adam, Spencer, John, Bob, Rob

Girl: Rachel, Madison, Denise, Debbie, Sue
Reply:Bill.Almost every kid will have heard of Bill Gates or Bill Clinton.

Why is "park" the most popular family name in korea?

Park is the third most common family name in Korea.

These are the top 6 most common family names in order.

1. Kim

2. Lee

3. Park

4. Choi

5. Jeong

6. Kang

The top three are by far the most common. Finding a Kim, Lee or Park in Korea isn't like finding a needle in a haystack; it's like finding hay in a haystack.

Why is "park" the most popular family name in korea?
You can't really say that a family name is 'popular'. It's just common. And I think Kim is the most common, because there's more than one ancestral line.
Reply:Its origin is King Park Hyeokgeose, the founder of the Silla dynasty on 57 BCE.

Fun fact: the names Kim (the most popular), Lee and Park account for almost half the population of Korea.
Reply:theres also Kim and lee.

In my school, the most popular names are Rebecca, Jordan, Daniel, Lauren and Emma/Emily.

And, do you have an unusual first name? Mine is kind of unusual, but not ridiculous.

Also, what are the most popular surnames? Mine is Dale, and I'm the only person with that surname in my year.

I'm just curious about what the possible regional differences may be! I'm in Year 10, btw.

Most popular name of '08?

heyy,, i was thinking... do you think Emily will be number one on the top 100 baby girl name's list of 2008.

i dont think it will be because a lot of people say that it is too common so i dont think anyone is really naming their baby Emily anymore. since it's sooo common.

i think emma, madison, or isabella will take Emily's place.

what do you guys think of this? comments/thoughts...

Most popular name of '08?
try going on this web site. http://www.babynames.com/Names/Popular/
Reply:Emily wasn't even the top name of 2007. Ava was the top name in my province and Emma was the top in my country. I really don't like the name Ava. I think it's ridiculously common at this point but people keep suggesting it as a 'unique name'. People name their kids that without the knowledge that come kindergarden there are going to be 3 or 4 in one class! They think their being so unique and creative. Ava is the 'new' Jessica.

I'd bet the top 10 names of 08 would be Ava, Abigail, Madison, Madelyn, Olivia, Sophie or Sophia, Hailey, Emma and Kaylee.
Reply:It sucks because I've loved the name Emily since I was a little girl and always planned on using it. My husband agreed when we started ttc 3 1/2 years ago. We now have a 5 month old son Logan (also chosen years ago but is now getting popular) and if I have a girl next, I don't feel like Emily is the name I want anymore because it's way too out there. I've picked new names and am seeing them alot lately.
Reply:According to most websites, Emily is the most popular for girls, and Jacob is most popular for boys.

But really, it's your baby, and you don't need other people telling you what to name it. Before the internet, people named their kids what they wanted and we all turned out fine.
Reply:I think Emma or Madison. Emily is definitely a contender but I agree that people don't name their kids Emily as much because it is so popular. I'm not sure why it was so popular though. I HATE the name Emily. I do like Emma and Isabella though. i would put my bets on Madison or Emma.
Reply:Emily will be on the top 100, but not number one. I think that Emma, and Addison will top the 08' name list (which is funny because my twin girls are Addison Riley and Emma Rose). Also Isabella and Madison will also be prob. in the top ten.
Reply:no, it's ashley

i had like 7 ashleys in my drama class alone, we had to assigned nick names!

emma is better than emily

but i personally think isabella is.....ew, it kindof goes with the rougher names like bertha and helga
Reply:Yeah i dont think Emily will be number one. I think Isabella will be ..............Nicole used to be sooo popular , but now it doesnt seem liek it is, i like it though !! I dont think Madison will make it to the first place, Emma might tho !! Or Jayden!
Reply:Well, I don't know a lot of people named Emily...but I think that Isabella would take Emily's place for sure, not to mention all the Jessicas, Jennifers, and Hannahs.
Reply:Emily is the top name for 2007 on the social security list.
Reply:I think Emily was most popular, and Michael was the most popular for boys.
Reply:It is cute if you go by Emilie the rate is low by

if you search it will help you out this http://www.ssa.gov/OACT/babynames/decade...
Reply:Madison is stealing the top of the charts, unfortunately.

I'm glad we have so many female sons of Maude running around!
Reply:no I dont think emily is that popular anymore. I think matt because its a safe name, been around forever
Reply:I think Sarah will rise to the top sometime soon, but probably Olivia in 2008 and Aidan for boys.
Reply:Yeah, Isabella or any of the Aidans.
Reply:Madison is quite popular this year isnt it? :) xxx
Reply:i'm thinking emma or ava will be number one this year.
Reply:Madison. there were 5 at 1 time at the daycare i work at.
Reply:MARISOL
Reply:I didnt even read the emma part at first and i was thinking it I swear
Reply:I hope not! That's my name and I hate how popular it is. I think Sophia will take its place.
Reply:i like the name Emma but hey thats just me
Reply:I think Ava would have to be up there in the top 10 or so...

Pl give me as many as possible number of names of the sites as possible as I'm disparately looking some places to get traffic on my website

I want the most popular free classifieds websites name to place ad on?
You're just like the old of me..^_^ hahaha

I think exactly same of what you think to get traffic on your site. BUT, will your site get traffic by add into free classifieds site. If you think of it once again. Anyone that visit free classifieds site will also do the same like you(advertising their site for their own). I'll ask you a question. When you advertise your site, will you visit other ad? The average answer is NO. Then how you make traffic to your site? There are many way to get it. Is it "The Fast Way" or "The Safe Way". Visit http://8logg3r.blogspot.com/2008/11/traf...

You will get traffic 200-1000/month or if you success you will earn it PER DAY!

Reply:there are lots of names out here in this world. I think once the baby is born, she will come up with a name that will suit her. What will she look like, and will the name fit what she looks like. Here are some names that I have thought of if I ever have a girl someday. Jade, Jewel, diamond, destiny, rose, olivia, jessica, brianna, savannah, hannah, julie. Like I said there are lots of names out there and she won't know until she arrives. She may have a name picked out but changes it once she's here because she no longer may look like a julie, but rather looks like a destiny or something else. I hope some of those names may help her. good luck to her and congrats to her.
Reply:The most popular names right now are probably Emily, Emma, Ashley, Jennifer, Nicole, etc... common names. Personally I like Katie or Addison (Addie for short), or Grace. I tend to like "classic" names over popular ones. Gwendolyn, Cassandra, Carolyn, and Abigail are also pretty for a girl.
