mostly... yes :) although depending on region, another very common name is "David Hasselhof".
originally over 50% of nepalese boys from remote villages were called marlon brando. at the point the "David Hasselhofs" caught up, things were ridiculous. everyone was called either marlon brando or david hasselhof. so many of the marlon brandos, who we must remember were the originals, changed their names further to marlon marlon brando brando, or marlon marlon brando, or even marlon mando-brando barlow brando, as an act of dedication to the One True Name. by this point we had 50% hasselhofs, and nearly 80% brandos. the situation has now escalated out of control, and soon we fear there may be over 2million vietnamese boys of which 7million are called marlon brando. that means each child is called marlon brando 3 and a half times over. F***ed up innit.
Is the most popular name for newborn boys in remote Nepalese villages Marlon Brando?
That's what I heard on the nightly news man. It is true, it is on the nightly news, therefore it is true!
